Amy O'Brien

Amy O'Brien is a freelance journalist, based between the UK and Italy. She writes about topics that blend business and culture — how we work, think, create and consume. She also covers the new economy in Italy — the burgeoning tech scene; innovation at the country’s biggest companies; and the new pools of capital that are emerging for investing in tech. Amy got her first taste of the Italian tech scene in her first job, working at first gen Italian tech company YOOX on its merger with Net–A-Porter in 2015.
Prior to going freelance, Amy covered fintech and Italian tech for the Financial Times’ European tech-focused publication Sifted. Beyond her journalism, she helps fast-growing companies with storytelling.
