Giovanni Ronca

Giovanni Ronca’s professional experience undoubtedly focused on leading deep cultural and business transformation, with a recognized capacity to embrace the challenge of change, strategic evolution and growth in all the organizations and for all the entrepreneurs he worked for. His senior managerial experience spans from different segments (family holding, automotive, corporate and investment banking, private equity / venture capital, TMC and wealth management) as well as regions (Italy, Continental Europe and US).

Giovanni started his career in 1996 at Exor (former IFI S.p.A.) as financial analyst. From 1998 to 2007 he worked in the treasury department of the Fiat Group (now Stellantis) both in Italy and the United States. From 2004 to 2007 he was member of the team led by the CEO Sergio Marchionne that re-launched Stellantis.

In June 2007 Giovanni joined UniCredit as Senior Banker in Investment Banking division. In 2009, after the acquisition of Capitalia, he started his managerial career, becoming head of Italian North-West corporate banking region.
In 2011 he was appointed head of Corporate & Investment Banking Italy Network. He covered this role until the end of 2013 when he was named head of Corporate & Investment Banking Americas and manager of UniCredit branches in North and South America, and moved to New York. From September 1, 2016 he became Co-Head of UniCredit commercial bank network in Italy with focus on Corporate and Wealth Management businesses, including leasing and factoring products. He was vice chairman of UniCredit Leasing S.p.A. and non-executive board member of Fondo Italiano d’ Investimento SGR and Cordusio SIM (wealth management).

In May 2019, Giovanni joined Telecom Italia S.p.A. as group Chief Financial Officer. He was also appointed Chairman of Olivetti S.p.A. and of TimFin S.p.A. (consumer financing JV controlled by Santander Consumer Bank). Giovanni left Telecom Italia in mid 2022, becoming Senior Advisor of CVC Capital Partners and of Quadrivio Group.

In September 2023, Giovanni was appointed Head of Wealth Management Italy for UBS and CEO of Credit Suisse Italy S.p.A. with the responsibility of the integration of the two businesses.
