Lidia Pieri

Lidia Pieri, Ph.D., MBA is a physicist, entrepreneur, and leader in the biotech industry. She earned a Master’s degree with honors in Physics and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Università di Roma Tre. She later completed an Executive MBA in Business Innovation with honors at MIB School of Management and pursued an executive program in Artificial Intelligence in Pharma and Biotech at MIT Sloan School of Management.
Lidia is the Co-founder and CEO of Sibylla Biotech SpA, a pioneering biotech company she helped establish in 2017. Under her leadership, the company has raised €25.4M across Seed and Series A funding rounds and built strategic partnerships with global pharmaceutical leaders like Takeda and Ono Pharmaceutical. She has grown Sibylla into a thriving organization of 30 employees, driving innovation in drug discovery and strategic business development.
Previously, Lidia had a decade-long research career as a post-doctoral researcher at prestigious institutions across Europe. She also holds teaching experience at various universities and has been recognized for her contributions to science and innovation, including being named an "Unstoppable Woman 2024."
Lidia combines her scientific expertise with a passion for leveraging cutting-edge technologies to create meaningful impact, while fostering an ethical, inclusive, and inspiring work environment. She is also an accomplished public speaker and advocate for women in STEM.
